I was just checking out The Artful Parent and she's got some great art activities that I want to try out with L. That brings me to the point of this post. There are so many amazing blogs out there. Too many amazing blogs!! Does anyone else feel totally amazing blog overloaded?
I'm finding I just can't decide if I should follow or bookmark. How many blogs can one follow? How many bookmarks can one have? I'm already getting confused with the ones I have. I'm trying to keep everyone straight (who has how many kids, where they're from, if they're teachers or homeschoolers etc. ) and then I go and stumble across yet another amazing blog that I just have to follow in fear of loosing it again in cyberspace oblivion!
I can't believe that I've only just come across such blogs as Adventures of A Rainbow Mama and DomesticallyBlissed. Hello where have I been? Then there's the fantastic new blog Sunrise Learning Lab and the lovely Anne at itty bitty love who's posts always put a smile on my face. Of course there's also my all time favorites, Making of a Montessori Mum, The Wonders Years and Chasing Cheerios who I'm always excited to read new posts from. That's only the tip of the iceberg. There's soooo many more!
OK I think this has ended up turning into a bit of a blog love fest! Anyway just wondering if anyone else is amazing blog overloaded and how they are dealing with it?
I have the same issue! It can be a bit addictive. Sometimes I wonder if I spend too much time researching ideas on blogs and not enough time doing the things I find! There are just too many wonderful people with too many wonderful ideas out there!!!
ReplyDeleteI am also overwhelmed by the great blogs I find... including yours! I really like using google reader because I don't have to hop around from site to site or remember which ones I've visited recently. I know that I won't forget to read a blog because all the posts are delivered right to me! Very convenient. Good luck sorting it all out.
ReplyDeleteBlog love right back at ya! I love google reader too, and I spend too much time looking at blogs and not enough time on my own! But, blogs do come and go and then come again ... so I figure a healthy bunch of inspiration is no bad thing!
ReplyDeleteNot too sure if you got the e-mail i sent you.
ReplyDeleteI am feeling the same way too!
I would love to hear about what you decide to do...it's a tough one!
I use Google Reader too - its free and easy to use. If you haven't tried it check it out! I use the tag and star features a lot so I can find things later! It is overwhelming when I come back from vacation but I usually sort it out by skimming. Its a great problem to have--Too much of a good thing!
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog because you "followed" me :) I like to use the Ultimate Montessori Blog List that blogger What DID we do all Day has put together on her site. She has them organized really well. Only problem is that they are mostly Montessori based, thus you'd be missing out on some of your favs that you mentioned. Check out the List at

LOL! Yep. Right with ya on this one. It takes up so much time and sometimes I get lost in it all. I generally just click 'follow' on all the ones I am into, and then every few days do a scroll through the dashboard or igoogle page to see what is new and relevant.
ReplyDeleteand yes there are favs I always have to look at!! Such as yours (a big fav!)...and most of the others you mention too! (:
But then there are those who don't have a follow/subscriber option who I can miss. Oh well. I figure the info will come to me somehow. I am also doing a monti course online which makes me feel more relaxed as know I can always find good ideas there too.
(:
Now I only just stumbled onto your blog and that is me to a tee....far too many blogs but there are just so many great mamma's out there doing so many wonderful things with their kiddo's, how can you not read them all!!
